Des Moines Performing Arts, Bankers Trust and The Des Moines Register are hosting Heroes Night at Disney’s THE LION KING on Sunday, May 3, 2015. This event is dedicated to honoring veterans, active duty military and their families. The evening includes a pre-show salute in the Main Hall of the Des Moines Civic Center, patriotic entertainment in the Civic Center lobbies and more. For Des Moines Performing Arts, it is important to have a special night to recognize these brave men, women and children who make sacrifices every day to ensure our freedom. Bankers Trust has donated tickets to 200 of these military members and their guests to see THE LION KING, a production that truly exemplifies the importance of pride, family and home. The May 3rd evening performance of THE LION KING begins at 6:30 p.m. The activities surrounding Heroes Night will begin when the lobby doors open at 5:30 p.m. and then move to the Main Hall shortly after the doors to the theater open at 6 p.m. (more details to come). The goal of Heroes Night is to come together as a community and honor all the sacrifices our military and their families make every day! Thanks to Bankers Trust, Disney Theatrical Productions and The Des Moines Register for their support. How can you be involved?
