Titan MOB Obstacle Course Mud Run      8/23/2014 8:00:00 AM
Urbandale
Titan MOB is a local mud obstacle course race based out of Waukee. Our event this year is being held on August 23rd at the Living History Farms location in Urbandale. We have created this race for people who like a challenge, don’t mind getting a little dirty, and love to have a good time. It is our goal to host an event to ensure everyone will have the opportunity to achieve all of their goals and have one hell of a good time doing it! Featuring 20+ obstacles over a 5-7 mile course, Titan Mob will have you doing everything but running in a straight line. There will be walls to climb, beams to cross, mud pits, water crossings, heavy objects to drag, and tires to flip, just to name a few. Did I mention water and mud? ..... Mud throughout the course, not just at the end so you look good for your post race pictures like some of the other events ;) Our course is designed for those of you who want to do something adventurous and much more exciting than the typical road race. We suggest building a team with your friends or colleagues and help one another navigate the course. Team shirts and crazy costumes are highly encouraged. Remember, you do not have to be in great shape to participate. You don’t even have to run, we just want you to get out of the house and do something different and exciting. We only ask that you show up with a positive attitude and have fun! Are you more of an adrenaline junkie? Do you consider yourself to be in top shape? Are you competitive? Do you think you can beat the person next to you? Then don’t worry, we have you covered too! Sign up for our “Clash of the Titans” heat and let’s see how tough you really are. The “Clash of the Titans” heat is the first heat of the day and is our only competitive heat. You will be running the same course, but you must be able to complete the obstacle or its assigned penalty before moving on. After all, this isn’t a cake walk and we aren’t just going to hand you the prize money. You’re going to have to earn it! Oh, did I mention we are giving cash to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers? We believe in supporting our local economy which is why we are currently seeking out local businesses to become part of our adventure in the form of vendors and sponsors. The money we receive from the sponsors will go directly to the 3 local charities that we are happy to be supporting: Amanda The Panda, Alzheimer’s Association Greater Iowa Chapter, and the Children’s Cancer Connection. In addition to the sponsorship money, we will also donate a portion of the race fee to these charities. Participants may also fundraise for any of the three charities. For more information please visit our website at www.titan-mob.com or like us on Facebook. Please help us spread the word. 2014 is going to be great and we hope you can be a part of it. Be TITAN TOUGH and sign up today!
