Des Moines community leaders David and Elizabeth Kruidenier have bequeathed 76 pieces of their personal art collection to the Des Moines Art Center. Elizabeth Kruidenier, a lawyer and philanthropist, died last year. Her husband, David, publisher and philanthropist, died in 2006. The art, which includes works by Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Alexander Calder, will be displayed at the Art Center galleries soon, said Art Center Director Jeff Fleming.
