Des Moines Performing Arts has
begun its Willis Lexus Drive for Kids Spring Campaign. Willis Lexus will match
up to $15,000 of donations made to Des Moines Performing Arts by April 15.
The
campaign subsidizes the $1 admission to 50,000 students and teachers who attend
the organization's Applause Series programs during the school day. The actual
cost per ticket for the Applause Series, which brings in professional touring
companies from around the world, is more than $6.
Since the drive began in
2007, more than $300,000 has been raised.
