The Downtown Farmers' Market
presented by UnityPoint Health - Des Moines will begin on May 4 from 7 a.m. to
1 p.m. It will resume traditional hours of 7 a.m. - noon from May 11 to
Sept. 26. Starting in October, there will be new fall hours, where the market
will be open from 8 a.m. to noon. This year's farmers' market will have 37 new
vendors and a new presenting sponsor, UnityPoint Health, formerly Iowa Health.
Staff and volunteers will provide exercise demonstrations, skin cancer
screenings, bike helmet safety checks and seasonally-appropriate recipe
suggestions from nutritionists. Click
