This might be the first time in 40 or so years of writing stuff that I’ve used the word networking. There you have it. Number one. To my mind, it conjures up the image of lots of people stuffed in a bull ring, kicking up some dust, in 30 seconds or less, that settles around these words: “me, me, me.” Don’t get me wrong. I enjoy chatting it up with people. I wouldn’t be in this business if that weren't the case. Everyone has a story to tell, and I find most of them nothing short of interesting, thought-provoking.
