The Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau announced today the launch of a new marketing campaign encouraging visitors to visit Des Moines in the winter. "Winter visitors want shopping, arts, entertainment and abundant things to do," said Greg Edwards, president and CEO of the bureau, in a news release. "Des moines has all that and more." The campaign will be aimed at women between the ages of 25 and 54, with secondary demographics including baby boomers and young professionals. It will be promoted in more than 350,000 copies of the Omaha World-Herald, as well as in radio, digital billboard and online banner advertisements in Eastern Iowa. The bureau has also set up a winter online microsite.
