Representatives of several Greater Des Moines transportation services voiced opposition Tuesday to a Des Moines International Airport proposal to charge commercial vehicles from 50 cents to $10 to drop off or pick up people in front of the airport, according to The Des Moines Register. The plan to charge shuttles, taxis and limousine services to use the passenger drop-off lane would raise about $91,000 a year, said airport Executive Director Don Smithey.
