Reflecting concerns about the impact of the ongoing partial government shutdown, Thomson Reuters and the University of Michigan released a report today showing that U.S. consumer sentiment has continued to deteriorate in the month of October, RTT News reported. The report showed that the preliminary reading on the consumer sentiment index for October came in at 75.2 compared with the final September reading of 77.5.
