Indianola-based Cemen Tech Inc. today will launch the production of Wetworks, new portable wastewater treatment plants, with a ribbon-cutting. Cemen Tech has partnered with Energy Independence Partnership to produce Wetworks, which is designed to offer an environmental solution for rural communities and decentralized systems that do not have access to centralized wastewater treatment. The ribbon-cutting ceremony, with Gov. Terry Branstad and Iowa Economic Development Authority Director Debi Durham, will be from 2 to 3 p.m. at Cemen Tech, 1700 N. 14th St., Indianola. Cemen Tech received a grant from the Iowa Innovation Acceleration Fund to manufacture the Wetworks plants.
