DuPont today opened a seed production facility in Ukraine, helping Ukrainian farmers increase their productivity. The $40 million production facility is supporting increased customer demand for Pioneer brand maize, sunflower and oilseed hybrids in that country, the company said in a release. The DuPont Pioneer production facility, together with the logistics facility built in Stasi two years ago, employs approximately 70 employees. Johnston-based DuPont Pioneer also employs more than 70 field sales agronomists to promote its products throughout Ukraine.
