Friday, February 01, 2013 2:46 PM
The Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) has partnered with CMB Regional Centers to manage and operate the Iowa Regional Center's EB-5 (immigrant investor) program.
The EB-5 program targets qualified foreigners who are looking to obtain lawful permanent residency by investing in a business that will benefit the U.S. economy and create or save at least 10 full-time jobs.
Iowa's EB-5 program was formerly limited to investment in dairy operations, but a new approach will offer more opportunities for investors. The addition of the Iowa Regional Center will help CMB expand into morel geographic areas and provide interested investors with the opportunity to participate in capital projects in Iowa.
An informational meeting will take place on Feb. 7 at 3:30 p.m. at the Greater Des Moines Partnership's Arthur Davis Conference Room, 700 Locust St. This session is free to attend, but attendees should click here to register.
