Meredith Corporation today reported fiscal 2013 second quarter net earnings of $35.6 million, or 79 cents per share.

That is up from $31.6 million, or 70 cents per share, in the same period of 2011. The second quarter ended on Dec. 31. For the first six months of the fiscal year, Meredith had net earnings of $60.4 million or $1.34 per share, up from $53.2 million, or $1.18 per share the previous year.
