IEDA board approves awards in 3 communities

The Iowa Economic Development Authority board today awarded financial assistance and tax benefits to companies in Cedar Rapids, Nevada and Dubuque. The board awarded tax benefits to Diamond V Mills Inc. in Cedar Rapids to help the company with a $30 million capital investment to expand its manufacturing facilities. Diamond V provides nutritional products for animals. The board awarded Nevada-based Almaco $150,000 in direct financial assistance as well as tax benefits for a $1.3 million expansion to increase its manufacturing capacity to develop new products in agriculture research equipment. Rockfarm Holdings will receive $336,600 in direct financial assistance and tax benefits for a potential $2.1 million investment to relocate to Dubuque from East Dubuque, Ill.
