Residential building permits, agricultural futures profits and diesel fuel consumption led the Iowa Leading Indicators Index to its largest gain since February 2011, the Iowa Department of Revenue said. The index rose to 108.5 in April from 108 in March. The monthly diffusion index increased to 81.3, with seven of the eight components experiencing positive changes for April, up from six in March. The six-month annualized change in the index increased to 2.9 percent from 2.8 percent in March, and was positive for the 12th consecutive month. Click here to read the full report.
