Sales in China helped send soybean sales to a one-week record of 2.99 million metric tons, and an analyst expects prices to jump as demand continues to rise, Successful Farming reports. Bill George, a U.S. Department of Agriculture analyst, projected annual demand for soybeans of 15 million metric tons, pushing prices higher. An export tax in Argentina will keep much of that country’s crop of of the international market through 2018, when the tax expires.
