What are your goals in your role at your company?
My goal is to expand companywide volunteerism at Hubbell Realty Co. We’ve only scratched the surface of the impact our organization can have on this community. 2016 was our 160th year in business, and my hope is for Hubbell to be around for another 160 years of philanthropic impact.
What are your goals for your community involvement?
As a board member for Courage League Sports, my goal is to expand our programming and locations across the region. The 1,000 children and adults we serve on a monthly basis are only the tip of the iceberg. Everybody deserves to play, and we want to give them that opportunity.
What’s your biggest passion, and why?
My biggest passion is focusing on “The Three F’s” as my grandfather, Phil Broderick, calls them: Family, Faith and Friends. He always says, “If you have those three in order, I’d say you’re doing pretty darn well.”
What is it that drives you?
My appendix exploded when I was in second grade. I nearly died from it and spent significant time afterwards recovering in the hospital. Facing uncertainty and a challenging rehabilitation at 7 years old taught me the importance of resilience at an early age.
What are your future aspirations?
I’d love to become a founding member of a successful B Corporation. The B Corp movement is one that could define our generation. They are entities built on the fact that business impacts and serves more than just shareholders — it has an equal responsibility to the community and the planet.
