What are your goals in your role at your company?
Currently, I am the acquisitions and divestitures director. I have thoroughly enjoyed learning about commercial real estate. I conduct analyses to steer our disposition strategy and meet with buyers to negotiate transactions of assets that no longer fit our strategic plan.

What are your goals for your community involvement?
I volunteer for Meals from the Heartland, Central Iowa Shelter Services, Habitat for Humanity, and Children and Families of Iowa. I am heavily involved in the United Way campaign at Kum & Go. I recently became a member of Women’s Leadership Council. My goal is to become more involved and take on a leadership role within that organization.

What’s your biggest passion, and why?
Farming is my biggest passion. It’s the intangibles ? the smell of fresh cut alfalfa, watching a baby calf being born and seeing the smiles on our daughters’ faces riding horses ? that drive my passion for farming. It gives our family the opportunity to unplug from electronics and get our hands dirty. It is time we spend working together, learning and creating memories that I cherish.

What is it that drives you?
A strong work ethic is in my DNA. I come from a long lineage of Iowa farmers. My parents worked hard every day to provide opportunities for my siblings and me while always giving back to our community. I aspire to provide the same foundation for my three children.

What are your future aspirations?
I am currently finishing my MBA at the University of Iowa as well as beginning to work on my CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation. Once this education is complete, my long-term goal is to utilize these skills and knowledge to pursue higher-level leadership opportunities in our organization.
