What are your goals in your role at your company?
My goal has always been to be a leading commercial real estate agent in the Des Moines metro, and to be a go-to resource for business owners and executives. I take pride in going above and beyond expectations or traditional “roles” of a real estate agent.
What are your goals for your community involvement?
My roles as husband and father are my highest priority. My goal as a father is to raise my kids to be aware of the needs of others. I hope that by serving on boards and helping to raise money for nonprofit organizations I care about, my kids will learn those values from my actions.
What’s your biggest passion, and why?
Helping and serving others has always been my passion, and what drives me. I am hard-wired to get joy from successfully helping someone achieve a desired result.
What is it that drives you?
When my former business partner and I started a company in 2006, we were hit with every possible obstacle. My experience with starting and running a company in one of the worst economies has given me the knowledge and expertise to guide my clients (and other organizations). My business did not succeed, but what I took from that experience has been invaluable in helping other business owners succeed. I realized that if my “failure” can help bring others success, then it was worth it. You can’t really empathize with a business owner until you have had to make the same hard decisions.
What are your future aspirations?
I love being the “go-to guy,” and, God willing, I can expand my network of people and solutions. As a connector, I plan to help nonprofits grow their donor base. As a commercial realty professional, I want to connect my clients with like-minded business and people to work with.

1. President of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Iowa corporate board, and member of the Best Buddies Iowa and Meals from the Heartland boards.
2. Helped start the AWANA program at his former church and was a founding board member of Young Life Des Moines.
3. Chosen by each organization he works with because of his willingness to get his hands dirty and ability to make connections.
4. From a young age, Jesse’s parents taught him the value of helping those with less, and putting their needs above his own. These lessons have stuck with him throughout his personal life and career.
