What are your goals in your role at your company?
As the owner and sole employee of Socialize, my main goals are to find clients and then exceed their expectations managing one-time or recurring events. This year, I plan to make more time for goal-setting and strategic planning than I have in the past.
What are your goals for your community involvement?
In the past, I enjoyed being involved with many organizations. Now, with two young children, my goal is to get more involved civically and determine how I can best focus my efforts to make an impact in our community.
What’s your biggest passion, and why?
My family. My husband supports me in all that I try to pursue, and being his partner guiding our kids Winston (3) and Simone (1) as they grow makes me want to do all I can to make this world a better place.
What is it that drives you?
Since starting Socialize, I have been fortunate to find myself involved in events that enrich Des Moines. It is important to me that my work makes those events something that others can enjoy. More recently, I am also driven to instill in my children the importance of taking an active role in improving their community.
What are your future aspirations?
I would love to create an event that brings yet another great experience to Des Moines.
