What are your goals in your role at your company?
Immigration is a complex area of law that is in a constant state of flux. Keeping up with the changes requires dexterity and commitment. I thrive to be the best-informed expert in the field.
What are your goals for your community involvement?
My role as an immigration attorney extends beyond the office. As I serve our community in various capacities, my responsibility is to continue to expand my knowledge in the area of expertise and pay close attention to developments and policy changes on a daily basis.
What’s your biggest passion, and why?
My passion is educating and empowering underprivileged communities. As a child who came to this country with one pair of shoes seeking asylum, I can relate to the daily struggles many members of our community face. My parents always pushed me to get an education and said that “knowledge is power.” It is my duty to model the way and provide others with tools and encouragement.
What is it that drives you?
My personal immigration story is a constant reminder of gratitude. The sacrifices my dad made when we moved from Ukraine to the United States drive me to excel in my career and to be the best I can be in every other area of my life. It truly takes just one person to believe in you, and it can make you unstoppable.
What are your future aspirations?
My goal is to educate members of our business community about the importance of immigration and the impact it has on the workforce. There is an existing need for qualified employees in all sectors that is currently not being met.
