Wells Fargo & Co. will have a groundbreaking ceremony at 2 p.m. today for a 265,000-square-foot expansion of its West Des Moines campus. The building will have room for about 1,800 workers and will allow the company to vacate office space it leases in Greater Des Moines. The project also includes a parking garage. When completed, Wells Fargo will have built out about 1.2 million square feet on the 160-acre campus on South Jordan Creek Parkway. Company spokeswoman Angela Kaipust said it was too soon to say how much leased space would be emptied. The project is expected to take two years to complete.
