Prominent Greater Des Moines banking, gaming and bankruptcy attorney Tom Flynn will join the Brick Gentry P.C. law firm by Jan. 1, where he will be working with his daughter, Erin Clanton. Flynn currently is a shareholder at Belin McCormick P.C., where he has practiced since September 1989. Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino is a client. He also serves as a federal bankruptcy court trustee. "Belin McCormick understands the desire to be closer to family and we are coordinating with Tom on an orderly departure over the next month or so," Garth Adams, president of Belin McCormick, said in an email. Flynn's clients will decide whether to follow him to Brick Gentry, Adams said. Clanton joined Brick Gentry after graduating from Creighton University Law School in 2005. She became a shareholder in 2009. Clanton specializes in municipal law and is the city attorney for Nevada. Flynn will be a "great fit" at Brick Gentry, said shareholder Steve Brick. He said Flynn will begin work by Jan. 1.
