The Network for Immigration Reform, a coalition of 18 organizations in Central Iowa rallying for federal immigration reform legislation, will hold a Walk for Immigration Reform Now this weekend in Des Moines. The walk, scheduled Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m., will begin in the Latino business corridor near East 16th Street and East Grand Avenue and end at Southeast Ninth Street and Scott Avenue. More than 300 people are expected to attend. The U.S. Senate began debate on a bipartisan reform measure this week, which proponents hope to bring to a final vote by July 4.
