Judges appointed to business court

Iowa Supreme Court Chief Justice Mark Cady has appointed three district judges to serve on a recently created business court trial project. Judge Michael Huppert of the 5th Judicial District, which includes Dallas, Polk and Warren counties, will join Judge Annette Scieszinski of the 8th Judicial District and Judge John Telleen of the 7th Judicial District. The Iowa Business Special Court pilot project is an attempt to move complex business cases before judges who have experience with such lawsuits and expedite their adjudication. Eligible cases will be transferred to the business court docket beginning May 1.
