The Ankeny City Council approved tax incentives Tuesday for three business expansions that will bring approximately $25 million in new commercial investment to the city, officials announced. The city will provide $655,188 in tax rebates over 10 years to Deere & Co. for a $15 million office building project. The new building at the Ankeny plant will house 220 employees who are temporarily located at the company's Johnston facility.  A six-year tax rebate worth $542,396 was also approved for Northstar Power LLC, which plans to build an 85,000-square-foot manufacturing facility off the Corporate Woods Drive exit on the city's southeast side.  And the council approved $233,104 in tax rebates over seven years for a $4.1 million office building expansion by The Lauridsen Group Inc. in the LGI Business Park. In total, the projects will bring more than 250 new jobs to Ankeny, officials said.
