Kemin Industries Inc. will open its new Russia manufacturing facilities and office in April. The new facility for the Kemin subsidiary, Kemin Industries (Lipetsk) LLC, will be located in the Special Economic Zone of Lipetsk. The facility features a manufacturing plant, administration offices and quality labs and warehouses, creating one of the most sophisticated plants in the Kemin portfolio. The new Russia location, which is about 270 miles southeast of Moscow, is part of the five-year global expansion plan for Kemin. With regional headquarters in Europe, the Des Moines-based nutrition ingredients company has been selling feed ingredients in Russia for more than 20 years. In 2014, Kemin opened a fully equipped customer service laboratory in Moscow to better serve the feed industry and its growing customer base. "By creating a facility with local manufacturing and research, Kemin can increase the collaboration between our scientists and the direct customers we serve in Russia," said KP Philip, President of Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health.
