Mercy College of Health Sciences today announced that its president, Barbara Quijano Decker, plans to retire on June 30, 2018. Under Decker’s leadership since April 2006, Mercy College has expanded facilities, increased the breadth and diversity of academic programming, and strengthened the ministry as a Catholic college, the college said in a release. “Barbara’s compassionate leadership has advanced the mission of Mercy College within our community tenfold,” said Mercy College Board Chair Glenn Lyons. During her presidency, Decker honored Mercy College through the establishment of three separate endowment funds. Greenwood/Asher & Associates has been retained by the board to assist in recruiting Decker’s replacement.
