Iowa’s farmers, homeowners, businesses and factories all pay taxes based on different formulas, with  commercial property owners paying taxes that are based on 100 percent of the assessed value of their properties. Gov. Terry Branstad and Iowa Legislators are looking at ways to reduce commercial property taxes.
