Sue Clark, owner of Sue Clark Real Estate Services in Clive and a longtime volunteer and leader in local, state and national commercial real estate organizations, received the Lifetime Achievement award today during the annual Iowa Commercial Real Estate Expo. Colin Nelson of NAI Optimum received the Rising Star award and Chris Stafford of NAI Optimum was named Broker of the Year for the $10 million sale of North Grand Mall in Ames and for running the West Des Moines-based brokerage while founder Kurt Mumm was out due to a family illness. Marcus Pitts of JLL received the Deal of Year award in the under $5 million category for helping to bring Missouri-based B&B Theatres to Prairie Trail in Ankeny. In deals valued at more than $5 million, there was a tie. Ryan Jensen of CBRE|Hubbell Commercial received Deal of Year recognition in the $32 million sale of Westlake Apartments; Jon Ledinsky of CBRE|Hubbell Commercial and Justin Lossner of JLL received the Deal of the Year award for the transformation of the former Keck City Center at 500 Grand Ave. into the U.S. headquarters of ARAG North America. The building is being renamed the ARAG Building. Jennifer Cooper of Bankers Trust Co. received the Industry Impact award.
