BMW may build a new North America plant

Bloomberg: BMW, the world's biggest maker of luxury vehicles, is progressing with plans for a second North American factory to meet rising demand for its vehicles in the region. BMW has been narrowing the list of locations, with at least two sites in Mexico still being considered. 

 

Toyota to recall 6.4 million vehicles
The New York Times: Toyota is recalling about 6.4 million vehicles worldwide, including almost 1.8 million in the United States, for problems with airbags that may not deploy or seats that could move in a crash, the automaker said today. The airbag problem affects the 2009-10 Corolla, 2009-10 Matrix, 2008-10 Highlander, 2009-10 Tacoma, 2006-08 RAV4 and 2006-10 Yaris vehicles.

 

18 million callers can't reach IRS for tax help
CNN Money: With the April 15 tax filing deadline around the corner, an estimated 18 million callers seeking help from the IRS won't be able to reach a real person this year. That's about 40 percent of all tax season callers, according to IRS data. Those who do manage to get a person might have had to wait as long as 25 minutes.
