Study: Iowa grocers create, maintain 8,600 jobs

Independent Iowa grocers generate $1.46 billion in annual sales and have created or maintained 8,600 jobs in the state, according to a new National Grocers Association study. The independent grocery channel includes 246 stores throughout the state.
Overall, independent grocers are responsible for $129.5 billion in annual sales and employ 944,200 people. Click here to see more information about how grocers affect the country.
