Business Publications Corporation Inc. is teaming up with local businesses and organizations to produce a new magazine called InnovationIOWA.
The 80-page magazine will feature stories about innovative companies that are critical to the state’s economic growth, specifically those in core sectors identified by a Battelle Memorial Institute study commissioned by the Iowa Economic Development Authority. The sectors are biosciences and manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, information technology and science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
“These are key areas for economic development and growth in our state,” said Ashley Holter, sales and custom publishing manager for the Business Record. “I think it will showcase some amazing things going on in Iowa that the general public is not aware of.”
The company will distribute 15,000 copies statewide. It is scheduled to be unveiled on Aug. 29 at Kemin Industries Inc.’s new corporate facility, and will be an insert in the Sept. 13 issue of the Business Record.
Darcy Maulsby will be the publications editor.
Kemin is the magazine’s presenting sponsor. Other sponsors include the Iowa Innovation Corp., Deere & Co., Monsanto Co. and the Iowa Biotech Association.
The advertising deadline for the magazine is May 3. For more information, contact Katherine Harrington at email@example.com or at (515) 689-4447.
