Americans who own mobile devices spend, on average, 2 hours and 38 minutes per day on their smartphones or tablets, Fortune reported.
A report released by Flurry Analytics, which measures mobile usage of more than 1 billion active mobile devices a month, also released the following information:

- Only 20 percent of the daily time spent on the devices is on a mobile browser; the rest of the time is on apps.
- More than 50 of those minutes are spent playing games.
- Nearly a half-hour is spent on Facebook.
- Only 2 percent of that time is spent on "productivity."
