Airport passenger traffic up in February

Passenger traffic at Des Moines International Airport was up 7.6 percent in February compared with the same month a year ago, according to a report released Thursday by the airport.

That marks the 31st straight month that the airport has reported a year-over-year increase in passenger activity.

A total of 164,316 passengers came into or left from the airport during the month, up from 152,735 in February 2012. Year-to-date, passenger activity is up 10.5 percent in the first two months.
