The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART) will hold a series of 11 public meetings on Nov. 18 to 21 to get input on a new fare policy. The policy will cover payment methods including cash, passes, tokens and smart cards, new options for daily, weekly and monthly passes and transfer options for riders paying with cash or tokens. The policy being drafted is in preparation of new fare boxes purchased by DART. Officials say DART has no immediate plans to raise the price of fares.
