A second company has joined Des Moines Area Community College’s program that lets students earn associate degrees while employed as interns at an agricultural dealership. Van Wall Equipment was the initial partner with DMACC on the Power Equipment Technology program in 2022. K.C. Nielsen Ltd., which has 11 Iowa locations, is joining as a second John Deere dealership sponsor this fall, according to a news release. Van Wall Equipment and K.C. Nielsen offer tuition reimbursement and paid internships. Participants earn wages and college credits as they work, learning about repairs, engines, shop fundamentals and more. Van Wall provides the program’s learning facility, which is east of Boone.
