Indigo Dawn LLC's Green and Main initiative pilot project has been selected to participate in the international Sustainable Sites Initiative (SITES).

Green and Main will join more than 150 other projects from 34 states, Canada, Iceland and Spain to evaluate the new SITES rating system for sustainable landscapes.

SITES is a partnership of the American Society of Landscape Architects, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center at the University of Texas at Austin and the U.S. Botanic Garden that will test its 250-point rating system using feedback from the projects selected.

Green and Main is an initiative to create a model for renovating older buildings in Des Moines. The pilot project is located at 800 19th St.
