Des Moines Register: In what may be the largest-ever sum awarded in an Iowa nursing home negligence case, a northern Iowa facility has been ordered to pay $6 million to the family of a former resident who died after multiple falls that resulted in fractured bones and other injuries. The same facility, Buffalo Center's Timely Mission Nursing home, is also being investigated for the death of a resident who died of dehydration, after potentially going weeks without liquids.
