Hubbell to begin development of $25 million community in Norwalk
Wednesday, March 31, 2021 2:31 PM
Development of the first phase of a new master planned community in Norwalk called Holland Pointe will begin this spring, Hubbell Realty Co. announced. The development, on nearly 120 acres in northeast Norwalk, will include more than 500 housing units including single-family, apartments, townhouses, brownstones and villas. An active-adult project is also under consideration. The first phase of the $25 million development will include 71 single-family houses and six townhomes. “It’s extremely important for us to factor in all the stages of life this neighborhood has the capability of impacting,” April Seydel, Hubbell homes sales manager, said in a prepared statement. “It’s a big neighborhood that we expect to have a big impact.” Also planned are walking trails and bike paths that connect to Elizabeth Holland Park, several pocket parks and
community clubhouses. The current watershed will also be redesigned to include detention basins for an improved stormwater management system. Hubbell officials estimate it will take up to 10 years to complete the development.
