Cedar Rapids Gazette: Iowa City-based ACT announced its purchase of a college-planning company with offices in Boston, Austin, Texas, and Lee’s Summit, Mo. Not-for-profit ACT bought National Research Center for College and University Admissions from investment company Sterling Partners’s Education Opportunity Fund for an undisclosed sum.
