Indianapolis-based TWG Development has been awarded $820,000 in federal tax credits for an affordable housing development in Ankeny, the Iowa Finance Authority said in a release. TWG plans a 54-unit apartment building at 7750 S.E. 19th Lane, with 48 of the units reserved for people with incomes between 30 and 60 percent of the area median income. Because the tax credits are issued annually for 10 years, they have a total value of $8.2 million. According to a release, the state received an additional allocation of $1.4 million in credits after approving more than $7.2 million for projects earlier this year.
