The Altoona Planning and Zoning department released a recap of development from 2007.

Last year, the city issued 91 commercial permits for new businesses and additions with a valuation of more than $2.7 million.

Highlights include approved site plans for an 82,279-square-foot Hy-Vee grocery store and Eastpointe Center, which includes a 26,477-square-foot building valued at $1.5 million.
