Five architect firms and individuals who are members of the Iowa chapter of the American Institute of Architects received eight design awards from the Central States Region Design Competition. BNIM won an Excellence in Architecture merit award for the Ravine Residence in Clive. Peter Goché of Goché Inclusions won an Excellence in Architecture merit award for InsideOute in Ames. Goché also won an Excellence in Architectural Detail merit award for Water Hutch in Des Moines. Neumann Monson Architects won three Excellence in Architecture merit awards for One Place at Riverfront Crossings, Foster Road Retreat and St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, all in Iowa City. RDG Planning and Design won an Excellence in Interior Architecture honor award for the Ervin & Smith office interior in Omaha. Studio MELEE won an Excellence in Interior Architecture merit Award for Design Studio & Workshop in Des Moines.
