The Iowa Architectural Foundation’s annual walking tours of downtown Des Moines, Architecture on the Move, will step out on Friday from the foundation’s offices in Capital Square. The architect-guided tours are sponsored by Kum & Go and provide an opportunity to learn about architectural detail, style and elements, along with intriguing stories and the historical significance of the contemporary and historical buildings that shape the downtown skyline. For each tour, check-in starts at 5 p.m. and includes beverages and snacks. The tours begin at 5:30 p.m. on these Fridays: May 11, June 15, July 13, Aug. 10 and Sept. 14.
