Architecture firms honored at AIA Iowa Chapter awards ceremony

The awards ceremony was held Sept. 26 at the Science Center of Iowa, in Des Moines, as part of the AIA Iowa’s convention at the Iowa Events Center.
Awards were given for excellence in design and excellence in craft.
Excellence in craft awards included:
- Honorable mention: Czech Village Clock Tower by Neumann Monson Architects.
- Merit: Joslyn Art Museum Expansion by Architectural Wall Systems.
- Merit: Hotel Fort Des Moines lobby by Invision Architecture.
Excellence in design awards included:
- Honorable mention: Philip and Jerry Miller Library by OPN Architects.
- Honorable mention: Fortune 100 Corporate Client World Headquarters renovation and modernization by Substance Architecture.
- Honorable mention: College Community Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources Building by OPN Architects.
- Honorable mention: Goschke Family Westing Training Center by Neuman Monson Architects.
- Honorable mention: Iowa Conservatory by Neumann Monson Architects.
- Merit: Emergency Youth Shelter Tiny Homes by PLaN Architecture.
- Merit: Little Dutch Academy by Neumann Monson Architects.
- Merit: Gable House by Knop Killeen Architects.
- Honor: Pella Middle and Jefferson Addition by Neumann Monson Architects.
