Berkshire invests more in private jet industry
Berkshire Hathaway Inc. has invested $9.6 billion into the struggling private jet industry, betting its purchase of 425 planes will pay off in the future.
Berkshire’s purchase set a record in terms of private plane purchases, topping its 2011 investment of about $6 billion in the industry, according to Bloomberg.
The company’s air division, NetJets Inc., purchased the planes from Bombardier Inc. and Textron Inc.
