Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa has launched Icons of Impact: Mentorship Showcase, a new ten-day online fundraising initiative running Nov. 12–21 to raise money for the nonprofit’s range of youth mentoring programs. Community members can make pledges on exclusive 90 minute to 2 hour mentorship sessions, available virtually or in-person, with some of Central Iowa’s prominent leaders, including Connie Wimer, Mike McCoy, Emily Abbas, Miriam De Dios Woodward, Angela Walker Franklin, Katherine Harrington, Dan Keough, Suku Radia, David Stark, Tiffany Tauscheck, Suzanna de Baca, and Connie Boesen. The highest pledgers will win the mentoring sessions. The fundraiser is co-chaired by Connie Wimer and Mike McCoy. To learn more, visit the Icons of Impact website.
