BNIM architects in Des Moines has snagged two prestigious awards for work in San Diego and Kansas City, Mo., according to a release. The firm received the American Architectural Award for 2018 by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies for the Pacific Center Campus Development – Research + Development Building. Read about the project here. The building also has won awards from AIA Iowa, ENR California, Architizer and the International Interior Design Association. BNIM received the 2017 Faith & Form/IFRAA Religious Art and Architecture award in the religious architecture/renovation category for its work to revitalize Kansas City’s Westport Presbyterian Church, which was damaged by fire in 2011. Westport Presbyterian also has won awards from ENR Midwest, AIA Kansas and Kansas City, and the International Interior Design Association. Read more about the project.
