The city of Bondurant has received a $25,000 grant from the MidAmerican Energy Foundation to support Silo Commons, a planned public space in the city’s Grain District redevelopment. The funds will support planning and infrastructure improvements for the site, which will feature a concert stage, open lawn and a Silo Mural Project. Designed as a year-round community destination, Silo Commons will offer venues for public art, performances and recreation, while improving pedestrian access between downtown and the nearby Chichaqua Valley Trail, a news release said.
