The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Iowa has announced its CEO Tony Timm has stepped down from his role effective April 23.

The board has appointed board member Tanner Krause as interim CEO while the executive committee launches a formal search for the nonprofit’s next CEO. Krause has served on the Boys & Girls Clubs board for nine years and recently led Kum & Go Convenience Stores as president and CEO. His appointment was effective April 27.

“I joined the BGCCI Board within months of returning to Des Moines nearly a decade ago, and I am committed to doing whatever it takes to ensure the long-term success of this organization,” Krause said in a prepared statement.
